Many people give up the idea of making soap at home, thinking that the process is very complicated and will take a lot of time and effort. In fact, everything is very simple and accessible.

Soap making is a very exciting and useful activity with which you can for a long time provide yourself and your loved ones with natural cosmetics for Bath.

At the same time, each portion of soap can be brewed from new combinations of ingredients, adapting to a particular skin type and creating a unique mood.

A transparent soap base is usually ordered from a special store or made independently from a certain ratio of oils, water, alkali and glycerin.

A cheaper and more economical option, of course, is to make a homemade base from scratch, but this recipe requires the most accurate calculation of the amount of ingredients, a strict order of adding them and compliance with the cooking time and temperature conditions, making it not suitable for inexperienced soap makers.

Instead of the usual base, you can use solid baby soap without strong fragrances. It is cut or grated, then melted in a water bath and mixed with filler and essential oils.

Natural scrubs for homemade soap

Scrubbing particles in the soap stimulate the process of cell renewal, rejuvenate and restore a healthy appearance even to the most problem skin, and the blood flow from the massage effect prevents early signs of cellulite.

In fact, they are used as scrubbing particles for cosmetic soaps. a large number of improvised means that every housewife has in her kitchen. Even homemade grains, such as semolina and millet, can be an excellent scrub.

But, of course, oatmeal or oatmeal is deservedly considered the best “kitchen” scrub. This product not only has an excellent exfoliating and moisturizing effect, but also contains a large amount of vitamins and natural microelements.

The following are used as scrubbing agents:

  • small cereals: semolina, pearl barley, corn flakes, oatmeal, etc.;
  • dried herbs and flowers;
  • ground coffee, tea;
  • seeds, nuts and cereals: poppy seeds, sesame seeds, almond flakes, etc.;
  • berries with small seeds: raspberries, currants, gooseberries, etc.;
  • citrus fruit zest;
  • coconut flakes;
  • spices: salt or sugar, ground pepper, etc.

Make the most of whatever ingredients you have at hand.

To prepare natural cosmetic soap you will need:

  • Transparent soap base or a bar of baby soap (preferably white, unscented). You can take it.
  • Base oil: vegetable, olive, peach, grape seed, coconut, etc. It can be replaced with glycerin.
  • Essential oil: ylang-ylang, bergamot, mint, patchouli, etc.
  • Filling: ground coffee or coffee grounds, oatmeal or corn flakes, coconut flakes, poppy seeds or granulated sugar, citrus zest, crushed dry herbs and flowers (rose petals, jasmine, chamomile, etc.
  • If desired, you can use natural additives: liquid honey, cocoa powder, chocolate, milk, fat sour cream or cream, clay, etc.
  • The dye is preferably natural or food grade, or you can do without it altogether. Some natural additives are also colorants (such as cocoa and clay).

Grate baby soap or soap base on a fine grater and melt in a water bath. Make sure all lumps are dissolved and remove the pan from the heat.

First of all, it is better to add natural scrubbing additives and mix the mass thoroughly. In this case, large solid additives, for example, the peel of citrus fruits, need to be crushed, and dry powdered ones should be diluted with water to a paste for better mixing. If lumps still appear in the mass, you should repeat the water bath.

Then add base oil and essential oil if desired.

Pour the finished mixture into molds. Their shape should be convenient so that in the future there will be no difficulties in removing hardened soap.

Now all that remains is to transfer the molds to a cool, dry place for several hours or days, depending on the consistency, and wait until the soap has completely hardened.

Scrub soap with black coffee

Melt about 200 grams of soap base or a piece of baby soap in a water bath, add 2 tablespoons of ground insoluble coffee or dried coffee grounds, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.

Since coffee itself has a bright, invigorating aroma, there is no need to add essential oils to the mixture, but if desired, you can add an oil extract of vitamins.

Soap scrub with oatmeal

Alternately mix 200 grams of soap base, melted in a water bath, 2 heaping tablespoons of chopped oatmeal, 2 tablespoons of almond oil, 1 teaspoon of liquid honey, 1 tablespoon of dried chamomile flowers.

Ground flakes are always added last, as oatmeal swells quickly in the heat. The mixture is quickly stirred, poured into molds and left to cool for a couple of hours.

Sea salt scrub soap

Stir 200 grams of melted soap base, add 3 tablespoons of coarse salt, 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil, 25 drops essential oil rosewood.

The most common oatmeal is an ideal exfoliator for skin prone to irritation and inflammation. Gently cleansing, they nourish the skin, making it soft and velvety. Today I suggest you prepare a scrub soap with oatmeal and avocado oil, which stimulates collagen production and protects the epidermis from the appearance of wrinkles and age-related pigmentation.

Required

  • 190 g of white and 200 g of transparent base without sodium lauryl sulfate, made in England (I choose this particular base because it melts easily, does not harden too quickly and holds the smell of essential oils well);
  • 1.5-2 teaspoons of oatmeal;
  • avocado oil;
  • essential oils of jasmine and neroli (bitter orange);
  • liquid pigment dyes “Scarlet Poppy” and “Sunny Yellow”;
  • alcohol in a spray bottle;
  • cut rectangular juice box;
  • scales, knife, coffee spoon, 2 disposable plastic cups, sticks for stirring the base, heat-resistant dishes, preferably white or transparent.

Since this time we will be making soap with swirls, I recommend melting the base in a water bath. The soap will need to be poured in layers and mixed, and in order for the base not to harden, it will have to be returned to hot water.

How to make scrub soap with oatmeal at home

1. Weigh 70 g of white base, cut it into cubes, put it in a cup. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon oatmeal on top.

2. Place the cup in a water bath and melt the base while stirring constantly. When it is completely melted, reduce the heat and leave for about five minutes - so that the flakes soften a little (thanks to this, the scrub soap will gently exfoliate and not scratch the skin).

3. Pour the base with oatmeal into the mold, treat the surface with alcohol to remove bubbles.

4. While the first layer hardens, prepare the base for the swirls. Cut the entire transparent base into cubes and melt it in a water bath.

5. To give the soap a nice orange color, add a small amount of yellow and red pigment. To dispense dyes, you can use a pipette or a wooden stick - like mine.

6. If you stirred the base too vigorously, sprinkle it with alcohol and the air bubbles that floated to the surface will disappear.

7. Pour a coffee spoon of avocado oil into the base and flavor by adding 30 drops of bitter orange essential oil.

8. Pour the finished soap into a plastic cup - it will be more convenient to pour layers from it. Since the base for creating swirls should not be too hot - so that the clear and white soap does not mix completely - let it cool a little and thicken. Don’t forget to stir the contents of the glass periodically to prevent a film from forming.

9. Meanwhile, cut into cubes and melt the remaining 120 g of white base.

10. Add 2/3 coffee spoon of avocado oil and 10 drops of jasmine oil.

11. Stir and also pour into a glass. Since the white base for creating swirls of this type, as we will do today, you need about half as much as the transparent one, it will cool and thicken almost simultaneously with the orange one. The base, which has reached the desired state, resembles jelly.

12. Prepare a hardened layer of soap with oatmeal by scratching the surface with a stick and treating with alcohol.

13. Now you can start creating swirls. Before you begin, let me remind you once again - to prevent the soap remaining in the cups from hardening, after pouring each new layer, place it in a water bath. Pour 1/3 of the orange base into the mold and sprinkle with alcohol (this action will need to be done after pouring each subsequent layer).

14. Pour a third of the white base on top. Dip a stick into the soap and draw a wavy line down the center of the mold to create streaks. Spray the surface with alcohol.

15. Pour another 1/3 of the orange and white base alternately (don't forget to spray with alcohol between pouring layers), and use a stick to swirl two or three times in the middle and sides of the mold.

16. Then pour out the remaining orange soap and draw two diagonal lines connecting the opposite corners of the mold. Spray the surface with alcohol.

17. Fill the surface of the soap with the remaining white base, and once again spray it with alcohol.

18. Using a coffee spoon, sprinkle oatmeal onto the soap.

19. Place the mold in the refrigerator for an hour and a half, and then carefully remove the block by cutting the box with scissors.

20. Using a wide-bladed knife, trim the scrub soap with oatmeal on all sides and divide into 3 pieces of the same size. If you plan to store the soap for some time, wrap it in cling film - it will help preserve the aroma.

Let's admire the beautiful patterns in our handmade soap!

Freeze goat milk first. We will first dissolve the alkali in oatmeal broth, then add frozen milk.

I use two types of oatmeal: cereal for broth and flakes for decoration.

The cereal needs to be ground in a coffee grinder. Place a tablespoon of chopped oatmeal in a thermos and pour boiling water over it. Let it brew for about 1-2 hours.

Measure and melt the butter.

Also prepare the lye by measuring the required amount.

Pour part of the chilled oatmeal broth - 200 grams into a container for diluting alkali. Then add lye in portions, stirring occasionally.

The consistency of oat milk changes slightly when diluted with alkali. The liquid becomes gel-like.

When all the lye crystals have dissolved and the solution has cooled slightly, add ice cubes of goat milk. This is the remaining volume of liquid - 124 g.

After the ice has dissolved, add the alkaline solution to the oils. Because The mass practically does not pour, but is applied; it is best to use a culinary silicone spatula.

Use a blender to bring the mixture to the trace stage.

Place the container with the soap mass in a water bath.

After about 1.5-2 hours, the gel stage begins, the soap changes color and becomes like apple jam. When all the soap mass has gelled, the soap is ready! Before laying it out in the mold, add superfat - this is 7% (65 g) almond oil and fragrance.

And one more addition is ground oatmeal 1 tbsp. spoon. The addition of ground oatmeal gives the soap softening and moisturizing properties and plays the role of a delicate scrub.

Place the soap in a mold and decorate with oatmeal.

Leave the soap in the mold until completely hardened. 12 hours will be enough for him. Then slice and enjoy Cleopatra's baths!
