Dear Colleagues! This material is a continuation of the previous entry on my blog. The main goal of the proposed game exercises is to teach the differentiation of sounds [zh] and [sh], which have articulatory-acoustic similarities. Speech therapy work on differentiating deaf and voiced sounds is very important, since most children with general speech underdevelopment have impaired auditory discrimination of phonemes. So, in oral speech this deficiency leads to substitutions and mixtures of sounds; in written speech it can manifest itself in the mixing of the corresponding letters when writing (“shuk”, “lozhad”, “mazhin”).
