Also at this stage we need to draw the outlines of the heads of a boy and a girl, they are depicted in red in the picture below:

Stage 2. In the next stage, that is, in the second, we will draw the faces of our schoolchildren, first we draw the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth of the boy, then we draw the same for our pretty girl, and move on to the next stage:

Stage 4. The fourth stage and we begin to draw the top of the girl’s and boy’s clothes. We will draw a beautiful jacket with a bow on the boy, and we also immediately need to draw the straps of his backpack. On the girl we draw a beautiful checkered dress with a collar and bow.

Learning to draw with a pencil

First of all, you should figure out how to draw a backpack with a pencil. To understand the general sequence, consider the most common simple option.

First, you should outline the basic shape of the bag. In our case it is a rectangle.

After the base is marked, a working line marks the future position of the lid and a side pocket is drawn on the visible side.

Then the briefcase lid and front patch pocket are depicted. A symmetrical side is marked on the opposite side.

The entire bag, including the pockets, is given volume and rounded shapes.

At the end, adjustable straps and a handle are drawn. Lastly, the entire backpack is detailed in the desired way: zippers on the pockets, lining of the lid. The briefcase is ready.

Step by step

Another option on how to draw a backpack step by step offers a sequence of images of a simple textile accessory. The method is quite simple and accessible to any level of training.

Stage 1
The basic shape of the bag is shown schematically: round, without a lid, with a large patch pocket on the front side.

One of the most necessary items for any schoolchild is, of course, a briefcase. It is convenient to carry all textbooks, notebooks, notepads, abstracts, drawing supplies, pens and colored pencils for drawing. It comes in different configurations, colors and shapes. They are also often divided into two groups: for girls and boys.

Therefore, by September 1, we will learn how to draw a school bag with all the accessories using colored pencils. It will be colorful and bright.

Necessary materials:

  • colour pencils;
  • paper;
  • eraser;
  • pencil for sketching.

Stages of drawing a school bag:

Draw the shape of the briefcase in the form of a rectangle with rounded corners.

In the upper part we will add a voluminous pocket for school supplies.

We will also add another zippered pocket at the bottom of the backpack.

Draw the side part of the school bag on the right side. It will be open at the top, because school supplies will be located there. At the bottom we will draw a small pocket for small items.

We begin to fill our school backpack with useful things. For example, let's place a ruler and a textbook. We place them on the right side of the picture.

Next, we’ll add one textbook and a notebook with paper clips.

For a drawing lesson, you should put multi-colored pencils and markers in your briefcase.

For a little break at school, let's grab an apple to snack on, which can easily fit in one of the three pockets of the backpack. Let's draw it general shape. Then we’ll draw a twig and a leaf.

Color the drawing on school theme We start with a yellow pencil, which we use to give the base color to the apple, textbooks and top pocket.

Using orange and red pencils of different tones, we add volume to the details of the drawing that were yellow.

The portfolio itself will have green color. Use a light green pencil to color most of the backpack and the details of the pockets. We also use this pencil to add color to the leaf on the apple and the felt-tip pen, which is located in the school backpack.

Using a dark green pencil we add shadow and partial shade to the school backpack.

We paint over the remaining parts of the backpack in the form of pockets with a blue pencil, and also add a shade with one felt-tip pen.

Use brown pencils to color areas of the apple branch, ruler and pencil. Let's add a shadow with this pencil color on other objects in the drawing.

Finally, we give an outline to the entire backpack design. We use a black pencil.
