  • 100 g of hard cheese (Russian, Poshekhonsky, etc.);

  • fresh herbs, olives or black olives, a piece of carrot to decorate the finished salad.

Step-by-step preparation:

1) Boil the pre-cleaned and washed chicken fillet until fully cooked, remove from the broth and cool at room temperature.
2) Peel 1/4 of the carrots and boil.
3) Boil chicken eggs and cool in cold water.
4) Grate the cheese on a fine grater (it looks like there is a lot of it).
5) Choose a convenient dish to make the salad.
6) Using mayonnaise, draw the shape of a rooster to make it easier to lay out the ingredients.
7) Place the chicken fillet without going beyond the outline. Lubricate with mayonnaise.
8) Lay out hard cheese and finely chopped tomatoes, make a mayonnaise grid.
9) Sprinkle chicken eggs on top, previously grated on a fine grater.
10) Decorate the finished salad with the remaining ingredients, as in the photo below.

  • 250 g small shrimp;
  • fresh dill;
  • mozzarella cheese;
  • lettuce leaves;
  • several cauliflower inflorescences;
  • salt and spices - to taste.

Step by step recipe:

1) Draw the outline of a rooster with mayonnaise and add chopped pineapple or peaches, without going beyond the outline.
2) Cut the olives into 2 parts and place on top of the pineapples. Make a mayonnaise grid.
3) Next, lay out the boiled shrimp, peeled from the shell and brush with mayonnaise.
4) The next layer is boiled cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, lettuce.

But who is responsible for ensuring that next year is successful and happy in all respects? That's right - the Symbol of the Year, and this year the Fire Rooster will be such a Symbol.

Therefore, we must try to appease the Rooster on New Year's Eve, and... And of course, set an elegant, beautiful table with your and. And the best sign of attention for the Master of the Year is a specially prepared salad with his image.

So today I bring to your attention a selection of just such salads and appetizers. In it you will also find design ideas for hot dishes. Children especially like such dishes; they eat them with great pleasure. And as a rule, not even a piece remains on the plate.

In this recipe I use chicken meat. Let me remind you, however, that in 2017 there should be no chicken on the table. Therefore, today's version can be considered as a dress rehearsal. After all, today chicken salads are still allowed. And if you decide to cook it for the New Year, then replace the chicken meat with boiled beef. The salad will only benefit from this.

We will need:

  • chicken meat - 400 g (replace with meat if desired)
  • egg - 2 pcs
  • potatoes - 2 pcs.
  • milk and butter - for mashed potatoes
  • cucumber - 1 pc.
  • pickled mushrooms – 100 – 150 gr
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • sour cream, mayonnaise - to taste
  • vegetable oil - for frying onions

Preparation:

1. Boil potatoes and eggs. Crush the potatoes, add a little milk and butter. Add salt to taste. Prepare mashed potatoes. Let cool.

2. Boil chicken breast, or thighs (whichever you prefer), or meat, cool and divide into fibers.

3. Finely chop the pickled mushrooms.

4. Cut the onion into cubes and fry in vegetable oil.

5. Prepare a large flat plate and start laying out the salad in layers.

6. Spread the cooled mashed potatoes as the first layer. It must be laid out in such a way as to give the Rooster its future outlines. To prevent it from falling apart, we use puree; on it, like on a substrate, the salad will stick well.


7. Place the next layer of mushrooms. Potatoes go well with mushrooms, so we place these two layers side by side.

8. And then, of course, fried onions. I fried it a little more than usual. That is, it turned out well fried. This onion will be very good next to potatoes and mushrooms.


9. Mushrooms go very well with sour cream, and that’s why the next layer is sour cream.


10. Place the meat and sliced ​​cucumbers on it.


11. Separate the whites from the yolks and grate both on a fine grater into separate bowls.

12. Place the yolk on the cucumbers, leaving a tablespoon for decoration.

13. Place mayonnaise and spread it in an even layer over the entire surface.

14. Now the fun part begins - decorating the Rooster. You can decorate as your imagination dictates. I sprinkled finely grated whites on top of the mayonnaise, they look just like feathers.

Then she started working on the tail. Here we went with bell peppers and cucumbers cut into uneven strips, and for color I added a little eggplant peel.

15. I cut the comb and beard from bell pepper. The wing, beak, thighs and individual feathers were made from red onion. The paws are made from carrots. I decorated the neck with the remaining yolk. And the Rooster himself was decorated with pomegranate seeds.


And here we have such a handsome guy! By the way, it looks much prettier in person, it’s just that I’m not an important photographer. A little thick for a Rooster, of course! But he turned out so portly, well-fed, proud - a real Master of the Year. I think I'm happy with myself! And he will certainly be pleased with you if you decide to cook one of these. He will see how hard you tried for him and for the guests - he will not leave it unnoticed!

And if you want your Cockerel to be smaller, then slightly reduce the amount of ingredients. I had a sample of the pen. I prepared the salad, as they say, by eye. Although I didn’t make a mistake with the ingredients, the salad turned out very tasty.

Salad “Jolly Cockerel”

This Cockerel is similar in design to the first one, but its internal content and character are completely different.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 100 gr
  • boiled eggs - 3 pcs
  • corn (canned) - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • onion - 1 pc (small head)
  • potatoes - 1 - 2 pcs
  • vegetable oil - for frying potatoes
  • mayonnaise or sour cream - to taste
  • vegetables for decoration - red bell pepper, carrots, red onion, cucumber, pomegranate


Preparation:

1. Peel, wash and dry the potatoes. Cut into thin strips and fry in vegetable oil. Place on a layer of paper towels to drain off excess oil. Lightly salt.

2. Cut the onion into very small cubes.

3. Cut crab sticks into cubes.

4. Separate the whites from the yolks. Cut the yolks into cubes. Grate the whites on a fine grater.

5. Mix crab sticks, onions, corn, yolks. Divide into two halves. Mix one half with sour cream, the other with mayonnaise. You can add salt and pepper. I only added pepper. The crab sticks and mayonnaise were already quite salty.

6. Place half of the mixture with mayonnaise as the first layer. Give her the shape of a Rooster.

7. Place a second layer of fried potatoes. Place a layer of sour cream mixture on it. Try to keep in shape.

8. Sprinkle egg white on top.

9. You can decorate it the way we decorated the Rooster in the previous recipe, or you can decorate it the way your imagination tells you.

Salad “Fire Rooster”

We will need:

  • sprats - 1 can (160g)
  • fresh cucumbers - 2-3 pcs (not large)
  • egg - 3 pcs
  • carrots - 3 pcs.
  • potatoes - 4 pcs.
  • mayonnaise - to taste
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • vegetable oil - 3-4 tbsp. spoons for frying potatoes
  • for decoration - red bell pepper, dill, rosemary sprigs (whole), peppercorns


Preparation:

1. Boil 3 potatoes, 2 carrots and eggs. Grate potatoes, cucumbers and carrots on a medium grater.

2. Divide the eggs into whites and yolks. Grate the whites on a medium grater and the yolks on a fine grater.

3. Also grate one fresh carrot on a fine grater.

4. Cut one small potato or half into strips and fry in well-heated vegetable oil. Place on a napkin and allow excess oil to drain.

5. Prepare a large flat dish and place potatoes on it as the first layer. Leave a little for the tail. Lay out in the shape of a Rooster.

6. Crush the sprats with a fork, remove the tails and lay out the second layer. Add one tablespoon of sprat oil.

7. Place cucumbers on top, then grated boiled carrots. We coat the layer with mayonnaise and cover all the side surfaces.

8. We form the tail from part of the potato and lay a layer of grated protein on top.


9. Now we decorate the Rooster with feathers. We decorate the upper part and part of the tail with grated yolks. The breast, part of the tail and the wing area are grated with fresh carrots.

10. Then cut out the “feathers” from the bell pepper and cucumber. To do this, we cut thin strips and make diagonal cross cuts on one side, stretch them in the form of a fan, and that’s it - the feather is ready.

Decorate the tail and wing. Cut out the scallop and beard from the bell pepper. We make paws and beaks from French fries.

11. Decorate the plate with vegetables and herbs.

12. Place the salad in the refrigerator to cool slightly. Serve to the table in all its glory.

Unfortunately, I'm not a photography master. Live, Cockerel looks several times more beautiful. When I brought it out and put it on the table, everyone present simply gasped.

Salad “Vitamin Cockerel”

My son is a vegetarian. He eats neither meat nor fish. And I prepared this salad for him. After all, the Year must be successful for him too!

You may not be able to put this version of the salad on the New Year’s table, but you can prepare it on January 1st and 2nd. Officially, according to the Eastern calendar, the Year of the Rooster begins only on January 28.

We will need:

  • cabbage - 1/6 part fork
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • cucumber - 1 pc.
  • radishes -3-4 pcs.
  • bell pepper - 1 piece
  • red onion - 1 piece
  • egg yolk (from boiled eggs) - 2 pcs.
  • olives - 5-6 pcs.
  • olive oil - 2 - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • salt - to taste


Preparation:

1. Cut the cabbage into smaller pieces, grate 1/2 of the carrots on a medium grater. Mash the cabbage by adding a little salt. Mix cabbage with carrots. Season with olive oil.

2. Cut carrots, cucumbers and radishes into long thin strips.


3. Prepare a large flat plate or dish and place cabbage and carrots on it, giving the salad the shape of a Rooster.


4. Place the vegetables cut into strips into a lush bright tail. Cut out the scallop, beard and beak from the pepper. From carrot paws.


5. Cut out an eye and feathers from an olive. Lay out the “feathers” and sprinkle with finely grated yolks.

The salad is prepared very quickly. I made it today with my daughter and we made it pretty easy. Although when we started, we had no idea how it would turn out. It turned out like this impromptu.

Salad “Cockerel - Golden Scallop”

I have already presented this dish to your attention. Let me remind you that I prepared it for my granddaughter, who does not eat mixed salads with mayonnaise. As you can see, I want to please everyone, so we get such different versions of salads, which is how it turned out.

And I prepared it as a hot dish, but my granddaughter declared it a salad and ate it cold. Therefore, we present it in this category.

We will need:

  • Rollton noodles - 1 briquette
  • bell pepper - red and pink
  • green peas - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • canned corn - 1 tbsp. spoon
  • carrots (fresh or boiled) - 0.5 pcs.
  • cucumber -0.5pcs

Preparation:

In principle, there is nothing special to describe here, everything is already clear.

1. Boil the noodles.

2. Cut out the head and paws from carrots, the wings and scallop from bell peppers, and the beak from cucumbers.

3. Form a figurine of the Cockerel, design and decorate.

This is how happy my granddaughter is to eat such an interesting and beautiful dish.

Potatoes with chicken “Fed Rooster”

And here is another option that I also prepared for my granddaughter. This is certainly not a salad, but you can change the ingredients, leaving the shape, and you get a salad.

Of course, this recipe does not require any explanation. Everyone knows how to make delicious mashed potatoes. And if anyone doesn’t know how, you can learn right now.

We baked the chicken in the oven on the grill. For the dish, I used a chicken thigh from which I removed the skin. And so we lay out the puree in the form of a head, and the role of the body will be played by the chicken thigh.

We cut the tomato into pieces and make a scallop out of them, cut out the beak, beard and tail from the pepper. From a cucumber we cut out an eye and a shirtfront for the neck.


This is such a cheerful and perky rooster that we got for our granddaughter for dinner.

How to implement this idea to make a salad?

Instead of mashed potatoes, prepare any salad, mix it with mayonnaise and sour cream. Lay out and sprinkle grated egg white on top.

To make the body, we use any boiled meat, smoked sausage, or brisket. Cut into strips and arrange in the form of feathers. All other design can be left unchanged.

This salad can be served to each guest on a portioned plate.

Appetizer "Cockerels - Chicks"

This is a very simple and easy to prepare snack. It can be placed on a holiday table, but I prepared it for breakfast. This appetizer sold out in 5 minutes, as it turned out to be very tasty and no less beautiful.

We will need:

  • eggs - 3 pcs + 1 pc
  • hard cheese - 100 gr
  • mayonnaise - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • loaf - 5 pieces
  • milk - 1/4 cup
  • salt - to taste
  • oil for frying - 2 - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • red bell pepper, 5 buds of cloves - for decoration

Preparation:

1. Boil 3 eggs, cool and peel them. Separate the whites from the yolks, and grate the whites on a medium grater and the yolks on a fine grater.

2. Mix raw egg with milk, add a pinch of salt. Mix. Dip the loaf pieces and fry in oil. Cool.

3. Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Mix it with the whites, then add mayonnaise and form small balls, slightly larger than an egg. Roll them in yolk. Place on a cooled piece of loaf.


4. Cut out the scallop, beak and paws from the bell pepper. Decorate.

Let me remind you that I was preparing these chickens for breakfast and therefore used a loaf fried with eggs as a stand. You can’t put this option on the holiday table - it’s not that festive.


But if you put such a chicken in a tartlet, or on a dry cookie, you will agree that the picture will immediately change. And the chickens will look great on the holiday table. And this appetizer is prepared in 10 minutes. This is with a fried loaf. And without it it’s even faster.

Required ingredients:

  • Chicken breast or fillet - 600 grams
  • Canned pineapple - 5 rings
  • Canned corn - half a can
  • Fresh tomato - 1 piece
  • Bell pepper - 1 piece
  • Fresh cucumber - 1 piece
  • Mayonnaise

Cooking process:

Step 1. Boil chicken meat in salted water. To make the meat aromatic and tasty, add spices, peppers and onions to it.

Step 2. Cut the tomatoes and pineapples into cubes, just try not to make them too big.

Step 3. For this salad, take a large plate and decorate it with washed lettuce leaves.

Step 4. Since the salad will be layered, you can already lay out the first layer. It will be chicken. Coat it well with mayonnaise.

Step 5. Place the next layer of chopped tomatoes, salt and brush with mayonnaise.

Step 6. Top the tomato with finely chopped pineapples. And it’s also good to sprinkle with mayonnaise. The last layer is canned corn.

Required ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet - 200 grams
  • Eggs - 4 pieces
  • Hard cheese - 100 grams
  • Fresh tomato - 2 pieces
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste
  • Greens and bell pepper for decoration

Cooking process:

Step 1. Boil the chicken fillet. Lightly salt and cut into small cubes.

Step 2. Boil the eggs hard. Once they have cooled, peel and finely chop or cut into strips.

Required ingredients:

  • Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
  • Corn (canned) - 3 tablespoons
  • Chicken fillet or crab sticks - 100 grams
  • Onions - 1 piece
  • Potatoes - 2 pieces
  • Processed cheese - 1 piece
  • Fresh tomato - 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil
  • Mayonnaise or sour cream

Cooking process:

Step 1. Chicken eggs should be boiled, and if fillet is used in the salad, then you need to boil it too.

Step 2. Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut into strips and fry in vegetable oil. Don't forget to add salt.

Step 3. If you add crab sticks to the salad, you should cut them into small cubes and also chop the onion.

Step 4. Separate the yolks and whites from the boiled eggs and cut everything into small strips.

Step 5. Mix crab sticks (chicken fillet), canned corn, onions, yolks, season everything with sour cream or mayonnaise. Add salt to taste.

Required ingredients:

  • Chicken eggs - 4 pieces
  • Canned sardine - 1 can
  • Carrots - 1 piece
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Hard cheese - 150 grams

Cooking process:

Step 1. All components should be laid out in layers. First, boil the eggs and carrots. Separate the white from the yolk and grate it on a coarse grater. Lay it out as the first layer.

Step 2. The next layer is hard cheese, grated on a medium grater.

Step 3. Place canned fish, previously softened with a fork, on top of the cheese.

Step 4. Then you should lay out a layer of onions, which you need to finely chop.

Step 5. Finely grate carrots on top of the onion. Step 6. To make our chicken yellow, you should chop the chicken yolk and sprinkle the carrots with it. Also, make eyes from pieces of protein, and pupils from olives. You can decorate your salad as shown in the photo.

7. Chick

Required ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet - 300 grams
  • Hard cheese - 200 grams
  • Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
  • Onions - 1 piece
  • Champignons - 300 grams
  • Mayonnaise - 400 grams
  • Bell pepper - yellow and red
  • Pepper, salt to taste

Cooking process:

Step 1. Chop the onions and mushrooms into small pieces and fry them in a frying pan. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 2. Boil the chicken fillet, cool and cut into small cubes.

Step 3. Place the eggs in cold water and cook for 10 minutes. Grate them on a coarse grater. Leave some protein to decorate the salad.

Step 4. Hard cheese should be grated on a coarse grater.

Step 5. Shape the body of the chicken by laying out the ingredients in layers: chicken meat, mayonnaise, mushrooms and onions, eggs, mayonnaise, hard cheese. Finally, add the egg whites. Use bell pepper to create a scallop, beak and tail for the chicken. Decorate the salad with herbs.

8. Rich festive Rooster salad

Required ingredients:

  • cans of canned pineapples,
  • half a jar of olives
  • 300 grams of shrimp,
  • pinches of corn,
  • basilica,
  • mozzarella mug,
  • bunch of lettuce,
  • six cauliflower inflorescences,
  • spices,
  • pepper and salt to taste.

Cooking process:

Step 1. We outline the outline of the rooster with mayonnaise, lay out the diced pineapple in layers.

Step 2. Cut the olives into 2 parts, place them on top of the pineapple, coat with mayonnaise.

Step 3. The next layer is canned corn and fried cabbage inflorescences, salt and coat with mayonnaise.

Step 4. We cut the mozzarella into pieces and lay it out in the next layer, put the torn salad on top, grease it with mayonnaise, salt and pepper.

We start preparing the salad by putting eggs and carrots to boil.

Now let's prepare the ham - cut the meat product into small strips. If desired, you can use boiled, baked or fried chicken fillet instead of ham.


Cut fresh cucumbers into strips the same size as the ham.


We grate hard cheese using a grater with a large blade.


Combine all the prepared products in a bowl - ham, cheese, cucumbers, add canned corn to them.


Season the salad with mayonnaise and mix well. Salt to taste.


Before you start decorating the salad in the shape of a rooster, hard-boiled eggs must be peeled and grated on a fine grater.


When everything is prepared, we move on to the most interesting and important part - “assembling” the Cockerel salad for the New Year! To do this, you will need a large flat plate (in our case, the diameter of the plate is 27 cm). We place the prepared salad on a plate in the shape of the “body” of a rooster, as shown in the photo below. This needs to be done quite carefully, helping yourself with your hands and a spoon.


Sprinkle the grated egg evenly over the entire surface of the salad, pressing lightly with your fingers. While preparing the salad, the plate may get dirty, so keep paper napkins nearby.


Now we move on to the design of the “head” of the rooster. We cut out the comb and beard from the skin of a tomato with a sharp small knife, make the beak from a carrot, and cut out the eye from an olive (you can just add a pea of ​​allspice).


It's the turn of the rooster's tail. We make it from sprigs of dill, thin strips of carrots and tomatoes, and slices of olives.


To create volume, we make “plumage” - thin strips of carrots and sprigs of dill. Line the bottom of the salad with parsley leaves.
